KLIA & LCCT

KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) is located in the southwest of the State of Selangor. It is situated approximately 20 km to the south of Putrajaya, the Administration Centre of Malaysia. The driving distance from Mont Kiara is about 67 km.

The fastest route is via Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan’s New Klang Valley Expressway, NKVE (Lebuhraya Lembah Klang Baru) with the expressway code, E1. Access the expressway from the Jalan Duta Interchange. Next, head into Expressway Lingkaran Tengah (ELITE), E6. Exit to Lebuhraya-KLIA-Extension and it will lead you directly to the Arrival or Departure Hall.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport carries the International Air Transport Association (IATA) airport code of KUL and the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) airport code of WMKK.

The airport facilities are also extended to KL Sentral Station with check-in services. This city destination is called the KL City Air Terminal (KL CAT) and is recognized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and is coded XKL. This allows air passengers to check-in for their flights at the KL Sentral Station with valid Express Rail Link (ERL) tickets. After check-in, passengers may board the airport express high-speed train and reach the airport in 28 minutes to proceed to the immigration checkpoints.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) is located slightly away (about 20 km) from the main building of Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It is about 75 km drive from Mont Kiara and is situated to the southwest of the airport. Instead of driving directly into airport while on the main highway, ramp out to Jalan Pekeliling, which leads you to the LCCT. This is also the route to take to the Sepang F1 International Circuit.

The demand for the low cost air travel is always high.

Air passengers who take the Airpor-Express (ERL) may board feeder bus from the airport for less than RM2. Otherwise, choose to travel by bus from KL Sentral Station or Jalan Duta Bus Station for a direct travel to LCCT for less than RM10.
