Taxi (Public Transport)
Taxi is probably the most important mode of public transport in Mont Kiara. This is due to the lack of other mode of public transport that serves the township.
Although most KL cabs are fitted with a meter and are enforced by the authorities in using them, there is still numerous cases where the driver chooses not to adhere and tries to charge exorbitant fares per trip basis. It is advisable to confirm on using the meter before boarding and insist on receipts.
The best locations to flag down a cab are Jalan Kiara near Plaza Mont Kiara, Jalan Duta Kiara near Solaris Mont Kiara, Jalan Kiara 3 in front of Garden International School, Desa Sri Hartamas and Hartamas Shopping Centre.
You may also call to hire one. As there are numerous service operators, it should be relatively easy to get one right at your doorsteps in no time for pick up.
